Castiel's head briefly occulted most of Orion, and then Dean was being dragged upright again by the angel's implacable hands, until their faces were conversationally close.


ETA: In comments on LJ, gehayi points out that "occulted" is technically correct in this context -- which is awesome to know, as I hadn't come across it before.

The context I'm most familiar with (apart from 'the occult', which comes from the word meaning 'hidden') is the occultation of a star. If the Moon or an asteroid or something blocks the light from a star, the star is said to be occulted. Occulting Orion is very technically correct. :)
