Rather a mixed bunch

fred_mouseI know typically there is one oops per post, but I've had these sitting in a file for so long, trying to motivate myself, I'm just going to post them all at once.
He is certain to add just the right amount of petulant impatience to his tone, which never fails to insight some sort of response from Mallory, usually a wry comment and a flash of sharp teeth.
Tony could hear Steve running, and knew he was going to be slowed down, but not stopped, by the SHIELD agents set at the building parameter. .. and later in the same story ... Steve understood some nouns and the occasional proposition, but that was about all.
“I- I’ve never done this, so just- go easy when you fill out the evaluation rapport, okay?”
